On behalf of the OCCMA Nominating Committee, eligible appointed city officials interested in serving on the 2027 League of Oregon Cities (LOC) Board of Directors are invited to apply for consideration on or before Thursday, July 30. Please note that the LOC will be opening applications for elected official positions on July 31.
Eligible applicants will be asked to participate in a virtual interview with the committee during the week of August 11 – 12. The committee will recommend a slate of candidates by August 21. This will be followed by a special meeting of the OCCMA Board of Directors on August 28. The chair of the Nominating Committee will then submit the Board’s recommendation to the LOC Nominating Committee for consideration by the membership during the LOC Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, October 17.
There will be one open position for 2027, which will be a non-voting member during the first year of service on the LOC Board, and a voting member in years two and three.
